HVAC stands for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning. There are 4 main types of HVAC:
Split – This is the most common type of HVAC with an Air Conditioning unit outside the house and furnace in the house.
Hybrid Split – Similar to the Split, the Hybrid Split has separate heating and cooling unit. The difference is that Hybrid Split system can switch between gas and electric in order to reduce the energy consumption.
Duct Free – This type of HVAC can be installed individually in each room, normally mounted on the wall to provide both heat and air conditioning. The temperature can be controlled individually in each room for flexibility and energy saving.
Packaged Heating and Air – Compare to the split HVAC, the Packaged Heating and Air is a single unit to provide both heating and cooling. Meanwhile it is different from Duct Free as it is a centralized system installed on rooftop or in door.
